Cafe Owner ‘Threatens To SHOOT VEGANS DEAD’ After They Leave Negative Reviews On His Facebook Page

Vegans are well aware of how difficult it can be to find genuinely vegan food in most restaurants. While many restaurants do have vegetarian options, most of them contain some type of animal product, such as eggs or dairy products. Often, vegans are left with only two options: a plate of plain fries or a green salad.

While this can be extremely frustrating for them, vegans do know that they’re not likely to find vegan options on many menus. Often, they simply ask for the green salad or the plate of plain fries. And most restaurants are at least willing to oblige.

But not The White Moose Café! Paul Stenson, the owner of the Dublin-based café, posted a message on Facebook asking vegans to give him advance notice if they planned to visit his café. This really upset vegans from across the world, and they proceeded to spam the Facebook page with hundreds of poor reviews. His response was unbelievable…

Unknown to Paul Stenson, his post was shared on several vegan pages by a Facebook user Tee Jay, who also left a negative 1-star review on the page:

On 23 October, Mr. Stenson posted on his cafe’s page:

Kate Hill commented:

“I’m hoping this is a joke. U [sic] cannot ban anyone from your place and anyway us vegans dont want to come anywhere near a bigoted that attacks ppl [sic]. Oh btw this is breaking the law it’s called discrimination. The face u [sic] find it funny to laugh at people who have the right to eat what they want is beyond belief.”

Answering to the protest, the cafe owner wrote:

Mr Stenson issued a statement to the vegans protesting outside the cafe

At one point it looked like Paul Stenson was going to back down, publishing a statement on the cafe’s page. But, it looked as his P.S. left readers in no doubt as to what he really felt about the situation:

Mr Stenson's following post in which he claims to apologise for the furore but things are not what they seem

The countless negative reviews and retaliation received from the vegan community have gained him even more support and limelight with hit story being presented in several publications throughout the world. On October 25, he wrote:

Mr Stenson claims the publicity generated by the backlash has seen his cafe deluged with reservations

Paul Stenson’s response to all the angry vegans was unbelievable! Instead of ignoring them or asking them to stop, he threatened them!

Stenson wrote a post that stated that all vegans were barred from The White Moose Café. And if any vegan set foot in the café, Stenson said they would be shot dead at point blank range!

No matter how angry you are, threatening to shoot people isn’t ever a good idea. But Stenson actually gained quite a lot of support from the public, despite his threatening rant.

What do you think of the way Stenson responded to the angry vegans?
